Job summary

CAREI at the University of Minnesota is seeking a MTSS Specialist to support state, regional, and local educational agencies in implementing an MTSS framework. You will provide technical assistance, coaching, and professional learning targeted to literacy, math, and SEL, with a strong focus on equity and culturally responsive practices.

The role requires experience with MTSS in state education settings, collaboration across teams, and the ability to interpret data to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Education, Psychology, Leadership, Evaluation, or related field.
• Experience working with state or regional educational agencies on MTSS implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse communities.
• Commitment to culturally responsive practices and equity across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to state, regional, and local educational agencies for MTSS implementation.
• Design and deliver professional learning and targeted coaching.
• Develop guidance and resources for districts on literacy and math instruction.
• Lead evaluation and data-based decision-making activities for MTSS projects.
• Coordinate project staff and supervise Graduate Research Assistants.
