Job summary

Grosse Pointe Public School System seeks an MTSS Culture and Climate Coach to lead school-wide behavioral supports and restorative practices at Parcells Middle School. This role focuses on Tier 1 strategies, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with families and staff to promote a positive school climate.

The incumbent will model and coach Tier 1 behavioral practices, support professional development, and help sustain inclusive, proactive interventions aligned with the MTSS framework.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Expertise in Tier 1 instructional practices.
• Data analysis and progress monitoring skills.
• Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and equity-focused practices.
• Experience supporting PBIS.

Responsibilities

• Support Tier 1 behavioral supports within MTSS.
• Reinforce school-wide expectations and positive behavior interventions.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff on student supports.
• Provide proactive behavioral support and coaching to students.
• Address minor disciplinary infractions using restorative approaches.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict-resolution with students.
• Collaborate with staff to implement consistent school-wide systems and routines.
