Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a Teacher for the West Side campus to deliver instruction, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records. You will implement the curriculum and adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs while upholding CPS discipline standards.

Under a union position, you will communicate with parents, participate in staff development, and support extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching and coursework for the Illinois teaching certificate.
• Possession of a valid Illinois teaching license (PEL or ELS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional plans and provide lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Monitor and record student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding progress and behavior.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment.
