Job summary

Glen Ridge Board Of Education is seeking an MTSS Coordinator for Student Success & Schoolwide Support to lead data-driven instruction across K-6. The role involves coordinating MTSS frameworks, monitoring progress, and supporting teachers, families, and CST members to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate has strong certification, at least five years of teaching/intervention experience, and ability to design professional development and collaborate with district leaders.

Qualifications

• Certification/license in education; preferred special ed, interventionist, reading specialist or guidance counselor.
• Five years of successful teaching/intervention experience.
• Knowledge of MTSS, progress monitoring, data analysis and G&T.
• Experience designing professional development and coaching staff.
• Ability to analyze student data to support instructional decisions.
• Ability to work with administrators, CST, and district leaders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and organize assessment data across K-6.
• Facilitate meetings to review universal screeners, benchmarks, diagnostics and progress data.
• Support school teams in using data sources to identify intervention needs.
• Maintain records and plans for each building.
• Support communication with families and teachers.
• Attend MTSS meetings and prepare data for the team.
• Assist with development of 504s, Reading Intervention Plans, Basic Skills Math Plans, ESL plans, Positive Behavior Support Plans, Attendance Plans.
• HIB Investigation support and Prosocial Behavior planning.
• Other duties as required by the Superintendent and Director of Student Services.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain proper certification. Preferred certification in either K-6 special education teacher, interventionist, reading specialist or guidance counselor
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching and/or intervention experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of MTSS frameworks, intervention systems, G&T, progress monitoring, and data analysis
• Experience supporting instruction and intervention, and enrichment preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions and enrichment.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development, coaching staff, and leading collaborative teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret student performance data to support instructional decision-making
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, CST members, and district leaders

REPORTS TO:

Director of Student Services

Performance Responsibilities

• Monitor and Organize Assessment Data across K-6
• Facilitate meetings to review universal screeners, benchmarks, diagnostics,and progress-monitoring data to support data-driven decision-making and instructional planning.
• Support school teams in using multiple data sources to identify students requiring intervention and enrichment and determine appropriate tiered supports.
• Maintain records and plans for each building
• Support communication with families and teachers
• Attend MTSS Meetings and Prepare Data for the team to review
• Support the development and implementation of:
  • 504s
  • Reading Intervention Plans
  • Basic Skills Math Plans
  • Support ESL plan development and management
  • Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Attendance Plans
• K-6 HIB Investigation Support and Prosocial Behavior Support Planning (group lessons, grade-wide initiatives, individual support etc.)
• Other duties as required by the Superintendent and Director of Student Services.

Qualifications Profile

• Certification/License: Special Education, Teaching Certification, Reading Specialist
• If guidance, [State] State Certification as a Guidance Counselor (#______________________).
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

Education

• Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Masters Degree preferred.

Experience

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
