Job summary

Manchester Tank & Equipment in Franklin, TN is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead our sales organization across domestic and international markets. You will drive profitable growth, manage margin expansion, and develop strategic customer partnerships.

You will coach and develop teams, design sales processes, and align initiatives with product development, operations and finance to achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in B2B and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and margin improvement.
  • Experience building, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong business, financial, and operational acumen, including forecasting, pricing, and revenue accountability.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and influence skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Development and Operations to translate insights into new opportunities.
  • Lead key customer negotiations and ensure profitable agreements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Executive Leadership to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture while balancing customer needs with long-term business interests.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading the sales organization to drive profitable growth, margin expansion, and strategic customer development throughout domestic and international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy in alignment with the company's overall business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor strategic sales initiatives, priorities, and performance metrics.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales organization to drive accountability, engagement, and results.
  • Design and optimize sales processes, structure, and resources to support sustainable growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining and improving product mix, pricing discipline, and margin performance.
  • Analyze customer demand, market trends, and competitive activity to support forecasting and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Development and Operations to translate customer insights into new products, enhancements, and market opportunities.
  • Lead key customer negotiations and ensure commercial agreements align with company objectives and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to support enterprise-wide initiatives and business performance.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to ensure visibility and execution against business goals.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture while balancing customer needs with the long-term interests of the business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ Progressive sales leadership experience with demonstrated success in B2B and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth, revenue expansion, and margin improvement.
  • Experience building, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales and customer service teams
  • Strong business, financial, and operational acumen, including forecasting, pricing, margin management, and revenue accountability
  • Knowledge of customer acquisition, market dynamics, competitive environments, and strategic account management
  • Experience supporting product development and commercialization through customer and market insights
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and influence skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate data into business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive results, and collaborate effectively across all levels and functions of the organization

  • Road Warrior - 50-60% travel both domestically and internationally
