Job summary

Infinite Consulting Corp is seeking a skilled MTA Field Engineer/Inspector to manage elevator commissioning across New York City MTA locations. You will perform daily field inspections to verify design compliance, ADA accessibility, and safety standards, ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, PMG123 and MTA Track Safety Training, and at least five years of elevator installations and inspections

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in elevator installations, testing, inspections, and acceptance.
• PMG123 Certification required.
• MTA Track Safety Training card required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure construction activities comply with project drawings, specifications, MTA standards, and ADA accessibility requirements.
• Inspect ADA-related improvements, including station accessibility upgrades, ramps, handrails, stairways, elevators, and accessible pathways.
• Monitored contractor activities, workmanship, and material installations to verify compliance with approved plans and project specifications.
• Verified dimensions, elevations, slopes, clearances, and other accessibility requirements in accordance with approved design documents.

Location: New York, NY (various MTA station projects available)

Compensation Range: $58 - $68/Hour. Full time and part time coverage hour opportunities available!

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Field Inspectors to manage and oversee the commissioning of elevators across various MTA locations in New York City, The role involves ensuring elevators meet all regulatory standards and function according to design specifications.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure construction activities complied with project drawings, specifications, applicable MTA standards, and ADA accessibility requirements.

Skills, Education, And Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Previous MTA project experience preferred
• PMG123 Certification required
• MTA Track Safety Training card required.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in the performance of elevator installations, testing, inspections, and acceptance.
• Familiarity with all commissioning aspects of the Design-Build Contract documents including PRDCs, drawings, specifications, relevant codes and standards, and manufacturer requirements.
