Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Previous MTA project experience preferred.
• PMG123 Certification required.
• MTA Track Safety Training card required.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant elevator installation, testing, inspections, and acceptance experience.
• Familiarity with commissioning aspects of Design-Build Contract documents, drawings, specifications, codes and manufacturer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure construction activities comply with project drawings, specifications, applicable MTA standards, and ADA accessibility requirements.
• Inspect ADA-related improvements, including station accessibility upgrades, ramps, handrails, stairways, elevators, and accessible pathways.
• Monitored contractor activities, workmanship, and material installations to verify compliance with approved plans and project specifications.
• Verified dimensions, elevations, slopes, clearances, and other accessibility requirements in accordance with approved design documents.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Field Inspectors to manage and oversee the commissioning of elevators across various MTA locations in New York City, The role involves ensuring elevators meet all regulatory standards and function according to design specifications.

Role & Responsibilities
