Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of Medical City Healthcare, is hiring a Social Worker (MSW) PRN to support inpatient floors and the ED. This role handles non-clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and discharge planning in a high-demand hospital setting.

The position requires a Master of Social Work and licensure/registration in social work, with 1+ year medical social work experience preferred. Training occurs weekdays during the initial weeks. PRN shifts cover weekdays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work required.
• Licensure as LCSW or LMSW-RCSW-I preferred.
• Certification in Social Work preferred.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years medical social work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for inpatient and ED.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families.
• Identify barriers to discharge and coordinate with care team.
• Develop discharge plans for high-risk patients with psychosocial needs.
• Coordinate meetings with care teams and families to support patient decisions.
