Job summary

UW-Stout's Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation and Human Services seeks four Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor positions to develop a Master’s in Social Work program. These grant-funded, full-time, 9-month roles may begin January 2027, with a focus on curriculum development and CSWE alignment, and potential leadership within the program.

The positions are non-tenure track and may renew; after launch, duties may shift to a four-four teaching load with opportunities for summer teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensed or license eligible as a social worker in Wisconsin.
• Two years' experience in social work with macro-scale interventions.
• Ability to teach in-person and online.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CSWE accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CSWE-aligned curriculum development for hybrid instruction.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure CSWE standards are met.
• Engage in clinical practicum and internship site recruitment.
• Engage in student recruitment.
• Possible leadership responsibilities within the program.
• Teach on campus and online Social Work courses.
• Provide on-campus and remote supervision.
• Support program assessment and accreditation activities.
