New York Medical College (NYMC) seeks an Assistant Director for the MSW Intern Education Program within the Office of Student Mental Health & Wellness. The role leads MSW internship supervision, clinical governance, and program development while maintaining a full clinical caseload for students.

The candidate will supervise MSW interns, coordinate education with graduate programs, and participate in campus wellness initiatives. In-person/hybrid work arrangements are expected at NYMC.

Formación

• Licensed mental health professional with doctoral or master’s licensure.
• Ten or more years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA in academic settings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide short-term individual therapy and needs-based assessments with referrals as needed.
• Conduct crisis intervention and manage caseloads prioritising urgent student needs.
• Supervise MSW interns; oversee treatment planning and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal staff and deans for student support.
• Deliver MSW intern training, case conferences, and supervision.
• Engage in campus student wellness initiatives and committees.
• Maintain compliance with privacy laws and internal documentation practices.

Conocimientos

Licensed Mental Health Professional

10+ years clinical experience

FERPA & HIPAA knowledge

New York State License

SIFI Certification preferred

Educación

Doctoral degree (Ph.D./PsyD/EdD)

Master’s degree (LCSW-R)
