Job summary

University of North Carolina Greensboro invites applications for the Program Director of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health and Human Sciences. The MSOT program seeks visionary leadership to guide accreditation, curriculum, and student success.

Responsibilities include strategic program administration, accreditation compliance, curriculum design, faculty recruitment, teaching, research, and service. Tenure, tenure track, commensurate with experience; NC location.

Qualifications

• Initial certification as an occupational therapist and North Carolina licensure eligibility.
• Doctoral degree (PhD, OTD, EdD, or equivalent) from a US Department of Education-recognized accredited institution.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of documented occupational therapy experience, including clinical practice.
• At least four (4) years of experience as a faculty member with postsecondary teaching responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience in academic administration, including program planning, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of ACOTE accreditation standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the MSOT program, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Serve as the ACOTE-designated Program Director responsible for accreditation compliance and documentation.
• Lead curriculum design, assessment, and student success initiatives.
• Recruit, supervise, and support faculty to ensure excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Teach occupational therapy courses, maintain an active research agenda, and engage in institutional and professional service.
