Trinity Health MI in Ann Arbor is seeking an MSN-prepared RN to serve as Clinical Practice Leader on the 3 East and Short Stay units. The CPL drives nursing quality outcomes, translates evidence into practice, and partners with the Nursing Quality Outcomes and Professional Practice director to improve patient care.

The role involves coaching staff, leading daily quality huddles, supporting governance activities, and mentoring teams through residency programs and project development.

Qualifications

• Master's of Science in Nursing (Clinical, Education, Administration) required.
• Three to five years of acute care nursing experience with involvement in staff education, supervision, and problem solving.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Performs holistic assessments and develops a care plan.
• Assesses patient response to treatment in collaboration with care providers.
• Documents findings and progress in the electronic record; communicates with physicians.
• Ensures patient/family preparation for care across continuum, prioritizing high-risk patients.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to evaluate and achieve outcomes.
• Implements evidence-based practice to improve patient care outcomes.
• Leads daily quality huddles and participates in governance activities.
• Coaches staff and reinforces nursing practice expectations.
• Identifies resources and opportunities to improve care while reducing waste.
• Leads unit-level quality improvement initiatives and participates in root cause analyses.
