Job summary

Helms College in Macon, GA is seeking a dedicated Skills Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality instruction to students entering healthcare careers. Typical daytime classes run 8:30am-3:00pm and evening sessions 5:30pm-10:30pm two to three nights weekly.

The role requires a healthcare education background, CMA/RMA/LPN/RN/CCMA certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days, and at least three years in a medical facility. Strong communication and student-focused mentorship are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting, LPN, ADN, or BSN program having earned a certificate, diploma, or degree.
• Three years of recent experience in a medical facility.
• Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, LPN, RN, or CCMA), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Availability to work Morning (8:30 - 3:00pm) for morning classes and/or afternoon/evening hours (5:00 PM – 10:30 PM) two to three nights per week.

• Maintain classroom and clinical lab environments that promote hands-on learning.
• Provide regular feedback, guidance, and support to students.
• Participate in campus events such as open houses, graduation, and student enrichment activities.

• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to Helms College’s mission.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student retention and completion.

Position Overview:

This is not a remote position. Helms College is seeking a dedicated Skills Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for careers in the healthcare field. Typical work hours fall between 8:30am -3:00pm for our Day Courses and/or 5:30 PM and 10:30 PM two days per week for our Evening Classes
