Helms College in Macon, GA seeks an enthusiastic Career Fundamentals Adjunct Faculty to prepare students for healthcare careers. Classes run 8:30am–3:00pm for Day Courses and 5:30pm–10:30pm two/three evenings weekly for Evening Classes.

The ideal candidate has clinical expertise and real-world medical experience, with responsibilities spanning instruction, lab supervision, and student mentorship to ensure career readiness and ethical service in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with certificate, diploma, or degree.
• Three (3) years of recent experience in a medical facility.
• Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, LPN, RN, or CCMA), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction following the MSMA curriculum.
• Maintain classroom and clinical lab environments that promote hands-on learning.
• Provide regular feedback, guidance, and support to students.
• Participate in campus events such as open houses, graduation, and enrichment activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records.
• Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to Helms College’s mission.

This is not a remote position. Helms College is seeking a dedicated Career Fundamentals Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for careers in the healthcare field. Typical work hours fall between 8:30am -3:00pm for our Day Courses and/or 5:30 PM and 10:30 PM two days per week for our Evening ClassesThe ideal candidate will be passionate about student success and bring both clinical expertise and real-world experience from a medical setting.
