Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to advance stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy in the Great Lakes territory. You will build peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and HCPs, translating data to support clinical strategy and payer discussions.

The role requires deep HSCT/cellular therapy expertise, strong communication, and independent project leadership. This full-time position includes full benefits, equity, and a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree in life-science or basic-science discipline.
• Significant experience in malignant hematology, HSCT, cellular therapy, CAR-T or other advanced therapies.
• Strong understanding of cell therapy ecosystem and transplant center operations.
• Knowledge of clinical development, regulatory requirements and HEOR data is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and present complex scientific data to varied audiences.
• Track record of cross-functional collaboration and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy to guide scientific exchange.
• Develop and maintain relationships with academic experts and HCPs within the territory.
• Prepare territory management plans and coordinate with Medical Leadership.
• Support onboarding, adverse event reporting, and payer engagement activities.
• Stay current on hematologic malignancies and cell therapy landscape to inform strategy.
• Lead investigator-sponsored trial concepts from proposal to governance and start-up.
