Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a Management Technician to support the Mine Subsidence Insurance (MSI) Program. You will help process applications, verify information, and assist with data tracking to ensure accurate information for homeowners and insurers.

You will review MSI applications, perform data verification, assist with claims and prepare files for management review, while supporting staff with databases and digital conversion.

Qualifications

• Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work, with data collection/presentation experience.
• An Associate's Degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Review MSI applications, verify information, and determine when inspections are needed.
• Check maps, online resources, and internal systems to confirm mining conditions and property details.
• Handle new claims, prepare files, and organize documents for management review.
• Run reports, maintain databases, and provide guidance to staff on technical tools.
• Assist homeowners and insurance producers with website navigation and troubleshoot issues.
• Oversee the transition of structure and project files to digital formats.
