Job summary

Green Tanner Industrial seeks an Industrial Safety Coordinator to lead MSHA-focused safety coverage at active mine sites. You will work with contractors and management to verify readiness, review JHAs and permits, and support pre-job planning while promoting a proactive safety culture.

The role requires OSHA 30, MSHA credentials, strong incident investigation skills, and the ability to coach teams in English (Spanish preferred). Expect fieldwork with some travel.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour training and MSHA exposure are required.
• MSHA certification/qualification with 3+ years mine-site safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of MSHA standards and safety regulations.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to inspect, train, investigate incidents, and maintain safety records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine MSHA-focused inspections, identify hazards, verify controls, and monitor compliance with MSHA requirements.
• Coordinate contractor inductions, qualifications, and training records; work with mine management on access/clearance.
• Participate in pre-job planning and risk assessments; review JHAs, SWPs, permits, and field conditions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and safety meetings.
• Investigate workplace incidents/near misses; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
