Job summary

Green Tanner Industrial Construction is seeking an Industrial Safety Coordinator to serve as the primary MSHA-focused safety representative for assigned mine-site work. The role ensures compliance with MSHA regulations, company policies, and contractor requirements, coordinating with mine management and conducting inspections and training.

Based on MSHA readiness, the coordinator promotes a proactive safety culture, supports pre-job planning, maintains safety documentation, and may stop work for

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour training card.
• MSHA certification/qualification with at least 3 years of mine-site safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of MSHA standards and other safety regulations.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to conduct inspections, deliver training, investigate incidents, and maintain safety records.
• Strong communication, training, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Understanding of Procore or similar project documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Owns MSHA-focused site safety coverage with routine inspections and hazard identification.
• Verify worker qualifications, trainings, and access/clearance concerns.
• Participate in pre-job planning and risk assessments; review JHAs, SWPs, permits.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, drills, and safety meetings.
• Maintain incident reports, inspection records, and training logs.
• Investigate incidents/near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage PPE and hazardous materials handling and storage.
