The general role of the MSHA Electrician is to provide electrical expertise, service, and physical labor across various construction trades on diverse projects. This skilled position requires construction knowledge, aptitude, and a basic understanding of construction trades. Projects may include industries like Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Oil and Gas, Solar, Wind Energy, and more. The role involves extensive travel, out-of-town work, and flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and night shifts.

This individual must understand industrial construction comprehensively, be proficient with Beitzel's products and services, and be flexible with extended hours as needed. The MSHA Electrician reports to the Group Manager - Electrical Services and works mainly out of the corporate location.

Responsibilities

• Communicate equipment and supply needs to laborers and Operations Managers
• Prepare T&M tickets, receipts, and other paperwork
• Respond to calls and questions related to the job and personnel
• Provide general and skilled labor for industrial and construction projects
• Perform electrical installations and troubleshooting
• Install concrete pours, forms, rebar, masonry, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, rigging, excavation, trenching, and general labor as needed
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain detailed documentation for records, billing, and inventory
• Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues
• Assist other field personnel as needed
• Work on-call and demonstrate commitment to the job

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of electrical experience preferred
• Must possess an MSHA-WV Electrical License
• Knowledge of Industrial Services preferred
• Understanding of NEC and MSHA regulations
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
