Job summary

ADP Health & Safety Specialist in Kellogg, Idaho, supports and maintains a safe, compliant mining environment, ensuring MSHA regulations are followed and training is delivered.

This role conducts incident investigations, supports industrial hygiene and health initiatives, and helps promote a proactive safety culture across the operation. You will prepare reports, coordinate inspections, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of mining safety experience.
  • MSHA Blue Card holder.
  • Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety training and safety program administration.
  • Incident investigation experience, including root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate MSHA-required safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain active MSHA Blue Card certification and training records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company health and safety requirements.
  • Serve as an MSHA compliance resource and support regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Participate in and lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support industrial hygiene monitoring and occupational health initiatives.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and safety-related documentation.
  • Promote employee engagement and participation in health and safety programs.
  • Support emergency response planning and preparedness activities.
