Job summary

Synthego is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) to lead day-to-day MSAT activities in support of manufacturing operations in Redwood City, CA. You will drive technology transfer, process performance, investigations, continuous improvement, and manufacturing readiness across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated biotech/pharma manufacturing with GMP operations.
• Ability to lead technology transfer and investigations with cross-functional teams.
• Strong data-driven decision making and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfers from Development into Manufacturing with plans, milestones, risks, and readiness criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution of manufacturing processes and technology transfer activities.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new products, processes, and technologies.
• Maintain knowledge of transfer status, risks, and mitigation plans with clear recommendations.
• Serve as MSAT technical lead for questions about operations, orders, and QC results.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting across products, scales, and unit operations.
• Assess how process conditions affect quality, schedule, and rework; determine practical responses.
• Oversee investigations of non-conformances and leveraging root cause analysis.
• Develop corrective actions with Operations and Quality; ensure addressing root causes.
• Monitor manufacturing health through yield, purity, rework, cycle time, and risk trends.
• Communicate findings and risks to leadership; provide concise reports.
• Lead product and process reviews; drive improvements in robustness, quality, cost, and throughput.
• Translate priorities into projects with clear owners, timelines, and accountability.
