Job summary

Synthego is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) to lead day-to-day MSAT activities supporting manufacturing operations. You will drive technology transfer, process performance, investigations, continuous improvement, and manufacturing readiness.

You will collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Commercial to deliver evidence-based recommendations and present risks and actions to the Director of Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in a relevant engineering or science field and GMP experience.
• Experience leading technology transfer, investigations, and cross-functional projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfers from Development into Manufacturing with plans, timelines, risks, and readiness criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution of manufacturing processes, equipment, and transfer activities.
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new products, processes, and technologies.
• Hold deep knowledge of transfer status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting across products, scales, and unit operations.
• Assess process conditions for quality and schedule impact and plan practical responses.
• Oversee investigations of non-conformances and out-of-spec results with root cause analysis.
• Develop corrective actions with Operations and Quality addressing underlying problems.
• Monitor yield, purity, rework, cycle time, and schedule risk to guide improvements.
• Lead product and process reviews and communicate status to leadership.
• Mentor MSAT staff and balance transfer, monitoring, and improvement work.
