Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking athletic coaches for supplemental positions in soccer and other activities. Applicants must complete online application with the required documents. Requirements include being 21+, a High School Diploma or GED, one reference letter, and current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification.

Basic Life Support (First Aid, CPR, AED) is required. Coaches who hold teaching certification do not need separate coaching certification.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator�s Certification.
