Job summary

District 303 seeks a qualified MS Special Education Resource Teacher LTS at Thompson Middle School for the period 10/29/26 – 1/29/27 (anticipated). To join our Substitute Team, you must hold a valid Illinois PEL or Illinois SUBSTITUTE license (or Paraprofessional License with a bachelor’s degree).

Short Term licenses are not accepted. Applicants must provide two letters of reference and undergo fingerprint-based background checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL) or Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires bachelor's degree)
• Paraprofessional License plus bachelor's degree acceptable
• No Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses accepted in District 303

Responsibilities

• Provide MS Special Education Resource Teacher support as part of the Substitute Team
• Work under term-limited substitute arrangements from 10/29/26 to 1/29/27 (anticipated)
• Adhere to district Substitute Handbook and pass fingerprint-based background check
