Job summary

CUSD 303 is seeking a qualified candidate as a MS Grade 7 Science Teacher LTS at Thompson Middle School 9/21/2026 - 12/17/2026 (anticipated).

To work as part of our Substitute Team, you will need one of the following: a Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education), or a Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Valid active Illinois PEL license or Illinois SUB license, or paraprofessional license with bachelor’s degree.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to substitute teach multiple periods in a middle school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver science instruction to 7th grade students (MS) as LTS.
• Manage classroom activities and behavior during substitutions.
• Collaborate with grade-level team and support staff as needed.
