CUSD 303 in Thompson Middle School is seeking a qualified MS Grade 7 Science Teacher Long-Term Substitute from 9/21/2026 to 12/17/2026 (anticipated).

To join the Substitute Team, you must hold a valid Illinois PEL license or Illinois SUB license (or Paraprofessional License with a bachelor's degree); a fingerprint-based background check from Kane County ROE is required. This position is on-site and temporary.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois PEL license or Illinois SUB license with a bachelor’s degree
• Paraprofessional License and a bachelor’s degree accepted
• Fingerprint-based background check from Kane County ROE required

• Deliver science instruction to 7th grade and maintain classroom routines.

CUSD 303 is seeking a qualified candidate as a MS Grade 7 Science Teacher LTS at Thompson Middle School 9/21/2026 - 12/17/2026 (anticipated)..

To work as part of our Substitute Team, you will need one of the following: a Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education), or a Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree. We do not accept Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses in D303.

• Daily Substitute Teacher Rate: $145per day
• Loyalty Rate (after 31 days as a District 303 Daily Substitute Teacher): $165 per day
• Long Term Substitute Teacher Rate: $220 per day

In addition to the online application, a valid Substitute or PEL license, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE must be provided.
