Job summary

Collier County Public Schools in Naples, FL seeks a qualified MS Soccer Assistant Coach (AC/BO) for supplemental duties. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, and hold current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification. First Aid/CPR/AED training is required.

One reference letter is requested for non-staff candidates. Responsibilities include supporting the head coach, supervising players, and adhering to district policies and safety

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
• 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification.
