White Bear Lake Area Schools seeks a Nutrition Services Middle School Manager for Central Middle School in White Bear Lake, MN. This role oversees meal preparation, serving, and records under the Director of Nutrition Services and Building Principal to ensure safe, nutritious meals for students.

The position emphasizes supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, ordering supplies, and reporting. Certification within a year (Level 4 and MN Food Manager) is required, with strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree and considerable cook experience plus some supervisor experience.
• School Nutrition Association Level 4 Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Minnesota Food Manager Certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises food service employees and cafeteria operations.
• Opens kitchen and prepares cafeteria for serving.
• Trains personnel in procedures.
• Maintains accurate food service records.
• Orders food and supplies and prepares orders.
• Prepares foods and may cashier and manage accounts receivable.
• Maintains kitchen readiness for next day and when not in use.
• Supervises cleaning and sanitizing of utensils and equipment.
• Receives and verifies food deliveries and schedules.
• Provides customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
