The New School is seeking a Media Management Student Assistant to provide essential administrative, communications, and event support within the academic program. You will help with day-to-day operations, support students and faculty, and contribute to public-facing communications.

The Media Management Student Assistant will support an academic program within the university by providing essential administrative, communications, and event support. Reporting to the Program Administrator or Program Director, depending on assignment, the Student Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting students and faculty, and creating and contributing to public-facing communications. The successful candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, able to complete assigned tasks independently, and comfortable balancing administrative tasks with creative and interpersonal work in a fast-paced academic environment.
Hourly Rate: $18 per hour

Responsibilities:
This role provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and event support to ensure smooth program execution and effective database maintenance. It serves as a key communication link by acting as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders while managing outreach through social media, a weekly newsletter, and program publications. Additionally, the position independently manages assigned projects, tracks event logistics, and reports progress in a timely, professional manner.
