Job summary

Whitmore Lake Public Schools in Whitmore Lake, MI seeks a Middle & High School Assessment Coordinator to oversee district/state assessments for grades 6-12. The role coordinates testing windows, devices, and staff training, ensuring compliance and smooth operations throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Strong organization, communication and project-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfort working with student data, spreadsheets and online assessment platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, support staff and technology personnel.
• Ability to learn and interpret assessment requirements and communicate them clearly.
• Experience with state or district assessment administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling and coordination of district and state standardized assessments.
• Develop and communicate district testing calendars, deadlines and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Technology Director to ensure testing environments are prepared.
• Provide training, guidance and ongoing support to staff involved in testing.
• Serve as a building resource for assessment procedures and reporting.
• Monitor compliance with testing protocols and required documentation.
• Coordinate testing materials, rosters, accommodations and make-up testing.
• Review results and help leaders use data to inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and complete state reporting.
• Stay current on changes to assessment requirements and timelines.
