Job summary

Marana Unified School District in Marana, AZ, seeks a middle school athletics coach to lead the program, plan practices and games, and mentor student athletes within four days per week during the season.

You will collaborate with the athletic director to plan tryouts, coordinate with families, manage equipment, and uphold district procedures while fostering sportsmanship and academics.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching the assigned sport at a school or youth level.
• Excellent communication with students and parents, and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Patient, positive, proactive attitude when dealing with students and parents.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate dependable organization and planning.
• Communicate expectations to teammates and families at season start.
• Organize effective practice and game plans; coordinate additional coaching staff as needed.
• Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies; procure items with/admins.
• Adhere to district procedures and promote sportsmanship and high academic expectations.
