Job summary

Mississippi ExCEEDS – Expanding and Cultivating Educational Excellence through Direct Service – The Team Lead role assists program staff in supporting Learning Mentors during the academic year, committing 10–12 hours weekly for 9 months. You will help with timesheets, volunteer engagement plans, and data collection, while participating in training to strengthen leadership.

Job description

Mississippi ExCEEDS – Expanding and Cultivating Educational Excellence through Direct Service – The role of the Team Lead is intended to assist program staff in providing support to Learning Mentors through the academic year term. Serving approximately 10-12 hours a week for 9 months, you will maintain regular communication with Learning Mentors to ensure the timely submission of timesheets and supporting documents and completion of volunteer engagement plans and data collection instruments. The Team Lead will also participate in training and ongoing support that will ensure your success as a leader.

Member Duties

The team lead serves a minimum of 300 hours, or on average 10-12 hours per week. The term of service is approximately 9 months: September 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027. The team lead will assist program staff in maintaining regular communication with Learning Mentors to ensure the timely submission of timesheets and supporting documents and completion of volunteer engagement plans and data collection instruments. The Team Lead will support Learning Mentors through the signature volunteer event planning and implementation process. The Team Lead will also be available to assist Learning Mentors with finding and documenting off-site volunteer opportunities to ensure the LMs are meeting monthly hour benchmarks.
