Job summary

AmeriCorps State / National program in Florida is seeking a Member Workforce Team Lead for a full-time term from 08/01/2026 to 07/31/2027. The role delivers direct career support, coaching, and workshops to help participants pursue meaningful employment and advance along career pathways.

You will develop Career Success Plans with participants, connect them to education and community resources, and track progress toward measurable outcomes like job placement and retention, in a supportive team

Job description

The program is designed to help individuals build the skills, confidence, and support systems needed to secure meaningful employment and advance along sustainable career pathways. Through a combination of one-on-one career coaching, group workshops, and individualized support, participants receive guidance tailored to their goals, interests, and barriers to employment. The program focuses on career planning, job readiness, and workforce development, including résumé development, interview preparation, job search strategies, workplace professionalism, financial literacy, and goal setting. Participants work with trained staff to develop Career Success Plans that outline short- and long-term career objectives and actionable steps to achieve them. In addition to skill-building, the program emphasizes removing barriers that often prevent individuals from achieving employment stability. Participants are connected to supportive services and community resources such as education and training programs, certifications, transportation assistance, childcare resources, housing support, and other wraparound services essential for long-term success. Ongoing coaching, regular check-ins, and progress tracking ensure participants stay engaged, motivated, and accountable throughout the process. The program prioritizes measurable outcomes, including program completion, job placement, job retention, and career advancement. By combining personalized support with practical workforce training and community partnerships, the program empowers participants to improve their economic stability, increase self-sufficiency, and build a clear pathway toward long-term career growth and success.

Member Duties :

They will provide direct career support to participants by offering one-on-one and group coaching, helping individuals identify career goals, and developing personalized career success plans. They will deliver job readiness workshops on résumé writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, workplace professionalism, financial literacy, and goal setting. They will support participants through ongoing check-ins, motivation, and progress tracking, document services and outcomes, and connect individuals to education, training, employment opportunities, and supportive community resources such as transportation, childcare, and housing.
