Job summary

AstraZeneca in Cambridge, MA seeks a Study Physician to lead a first-of-its-kind CAR-T study in multiple sclerosis, serving as the medical authority for a global, multi-cohort program. You will shape design, safety, endpoints, and regulatory documentation, partnering with clinical scientists and MS experts.

You will monitor safety and data integrity across sites, influence dose-escalation decisions, and drive timely, data-led progress for a potentially transformative therapy.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with board certification in neurology and substantive clinical experience in multiple sclerosis.
• Clinical research experience, including hands-on involvement in the design or delivery of clinical studies.
• Sound knowledge of MS trial methodology, endpoints, biostatistics principles, and FDA/EMA/ICH GCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the medical design, delivery and interpretation of a multi-cohort CAR-T study in MS, ensuring integrity and compliant decisions.
• Serve as medical monitor from eligibility through long-term follow-up, ensuring patient safety and consistency across global sites.
• Lead safety assessment of adverse events and guide dose-escalation and stopping-rule decisions within delegated authority.
