As a result of continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SQL Developer, with SSRS/SSAS/SSIS as primary skills, to join our global team as a Microsoft BI Developer. The role involves developing, maintaining, and administering enterprise workflows, integrations, and transformations, as well as supporting line of business applications, both internal and from third-party providers used by IQEQ.

The MS BI developer must collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, business analysts, and technical staff to build, modify, validate, and troubleshoot data requirements, including stored procedures, functions, and views for data analysis and reporting.

Building relationships with stakeholders across business and IT departments is essential. The candidate should understand pain points, devise solutions, and contribute to platform development and best practices.

The role requires experience working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to deliver project workstreams, BAU activities, and incident responses.

Collaboration with global colleagues across various technology functions is expected. The candidate should be tenacious, passionate, and capable of owning tasks, managing time efficiently, and meeting deadlines.

Attention to detail, logical problem-solving under pressure, and active communication on technical issues affecting client delivery are crucial. The role also demands strong data analysis skills and the ability to communicate clearly in high-pressure situations, including influencing senior stakeholders respectfully and confidently.

Tasks (daily responsibilities)

1. Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and SSIS/SSRS/SSAS applications for data integration and transformation, writing optimized SQL queries.
2. Build proof of concept prototypes based on requirements.
3. Participate in requirement discussions, design applications with users and team members.
4. Provide effort estimates and explain requirements clearly.
5. Work independently and as part of a team.
6. Review development standards and ensure compliance with change management processes.
7. Perform data profiling, validation, troubleshooting, and maintain documentation for processes and solutions.
8. Design target architecture for new solutions or enhancements.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Graduate degree in IT or related fields
• At least 10 years of IT experience, with 6+ years in application development using SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and MS BI stack
• Strong SQL Server knowledge, including T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Experience ensuring data accuracy and reliability through testing and validation
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining SSIS packages
• Experience with multi-dimensional and tabular models in SSAS
• Report development and customization using SSRS
• Developing optimized T-SQL queries
• Knowledge of database and BI security measures
• Hands-on experience with .NET, Python, and PowerShell scripting
• Familiarity with collaboration tools and version control systems
• Experience with Azure architectures (beneficial)
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and analytical abilities
