Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 for Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis. The role spans ~20% Functional Homeroom mentorship and ~80% technical work within the AVE MS&A team, reporting to the SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager.

You will lead a section of 8–12 engineers, drive schedules, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure high-quality missile flight models and simulations meet timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master’s degree.
• US Citizen with active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval as required by the business.
• Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group.
• Own and direct the processes used by the group.
• Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters.
• Horizontal integration of work across the organization and baselines.
• Maintain configuration management of environment and performance models for missile flight.
• Track progress towards major milestones and report status.
