Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a Material Requirements Planning Manager to lead production planning and synchronize demand, materials, capacity and inventory.

You will partner with Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering and other teams to optimize end-to-end supply chain, manage staffing and performance, and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Decision making and critical thinking to analyze information, assess risks, and make informed choices.
• Clear communication skills for presentations, reports, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience managing manufacturing inventory and controlling stock levels.
• Ability to support logistics operations, track shipments, and monitor costs.
• Experience coaching and developing a team, with focus on performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain plans aligning demand, production and inventory.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering to support customer commitments.
• Identify constraints, improve planning accuracy, mitigate supply risks, and drive improvements.
• Manage staffing, development, and performance of materials management workers.
• Set and maintain optimal inventory levels and perform inventory analysis.
