Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Planning & MRP Implementation Lead to build and own the company’s production planning capability as it moves to a fully integrated MRP environment.

You will design, implement, and operate the planning function, lead ERP/MRP configuration, and manage day-to-day scheduling post-implementation while driving continuous improvement in inventory performance and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant job experience may substitute
• 10–12 years in manufacturing with focus on production scheduling, supply chain coordination, and logistics/operations planning
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, CostPoint or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD/DoW security clearance
• Moderate physical effort; standing, sitting, lifting up to 40 pounds
• Experience using Costpoint manufacturing ERP for planning and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Deltek Costpoint Manufacturing and MRP planning capabilities
• Transition planning from spreadsheet-based scheduling to integrated MRP-driven planning
• Configure and validate planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, etc.)
• Develop planning logic reflecting capacity and material flow
• Create executable production schedules and balance priorities across programs
• Monitor schedule adherence and resolve bottlenecks
• Develop routing structures and planning standards for scalability
• Produce reports on production status, delays, and KPIs and drive continuous improvement
