Job summary

SARA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planning & MRP Implementation Lead to build and own the company’s new planning capability in Colorado Springs, transitioning from spreadsheets to a fully integrated MRP environment.

The successful candidate will lead the Deltek Costpoint Manufacturing configuration, develop planning master data, and establish scalable processes for production planning, scheduling, and KPI monitoring in a fast-paced defense sector.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant job experience may replace degree.
10–12 years in manufacturing with ERP/MRP focus.
ERP/MRP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Cost Point).
Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
Moderate physical effort; lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Lead Manufacturing Planning System implementation.
Lead the implementation of Deltek Costpoint Manufacturing and MRP planning capabilities.
Transition manufacturing planning from spreadsheet-based scheduling to an integrated MRP-driven planning environment.
Configure and validate planning parameters (e.g. lead times, safety stock).
Develop planning logic reflecting manufacturing capacity and material flow.
Monitor MRP outputs and refine planning parameters.
Production planning & scheduling; monitor schedule adherence and resolve bottlenecks.
Collaborate with production to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure safety and quality standards.
