Job summary

BrassCraft Manufacturing, a leading plumbing components company, seeks an MRO Planner/Buyer to optimize plant operations by managing indirect purchases, maintenance materials, and supplier contracts. The role collaborates with various departments to forecast needs, maintain inventory, and drive cost savings across the site.

The successful candidate will analyze data, negotiate with vendors, and ensure safety standards while supporting preventive maintenance with contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory management, procurement or a related role in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze data, develop cost-effective maintenance plans and identify areas for improvement.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in planning and execution.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build positive partnerships with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze monthly cost summaries by machine, work order and MRO supplies to drive cost improvements.
• Track and quote current service providers monthly for timely, quality work as per agreements.
• Execute annual contracts with service vendors, negotiating terms and pricing.
• Establish reorder point triggers to initiate purchase orders for goods and services.
• Issue purchase orders and replenish direct purchases as needed.
• Follow up on past-due purchase orders to prevent downtime and delays.
