Qualifications

Health Images is looking for a Full-time MRI Technologist to join our Church Ranch - Westminster team!

Position Pay Range: $37.75 - $48.69 | Thursday, Friday; 8:30am - 9:00pm and Saturday; 8:00am - 8:30pm | Applicants should have MRI and XR Registries.

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures, and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions:
  1. Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanations of the procedure/exam to obtain the best possible image.
  2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high-quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
  4. Performs exams while attending to patient care before, during, and after exams. Notifies appropriate personnel if patient’s condition changes.
  5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
  6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
  7. Maintains and inspects equipment regularly, reports concerns, failures, or deficiencies immediately.
  8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation is minimized by PPE. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to medical offices. May require work in cool, dimly lit rooms.

Physical Demands

Employees may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with arms, and communicate verbally. Vision requirements include close vision and focus adjustment.

Travel

No travel expected for this position.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • Two+ years’ MRI experience preferred.
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, team player.
  • Proficient with multiple computer screens and browsers.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
Education/Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
  • Current ARRT or ARMRIT certification in MRI.
  • State medical license (if applicable).
  • Current CPR certification.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

None required.
