Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures in a clinical setting. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality throughout imaging sessions.

The role requires proficiency in MRI protocols, image quality evaluation, and collaboration with staff during interventional procedures; teaching and supervising students may be part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Certification in MRI required upon hire (ARRT MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB).
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology program; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in routine and complex MRI procedures with strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders, identify patients, and document clinical history accurately.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure safety.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying magnetic resonance safety standards.
• Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors; participate in quality improvement activities.

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct or assist with MRI procedures, preparing and administering medications as authorized, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
