Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate 3T, mobile, and upright MRI systems. You will join a collaborative team with dedicated protocol support and MRSO help to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care.

You will work weekend nights (Fri-Sun 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $5,000 relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Requires ARRT and ARMRIT registrations and BLS; extensive safety and infection control

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience preferred.
• Must be registered with ARRT (R) and ARMRIT, if not registered must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
• Current BLS required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate imaging services.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and MRI-specific protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to needs during examinations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide patient care.
• Ensure care and maintenance of MRI equipment and work areas.
