Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations across diverse age groups using 3T, mobile, and upright scanners. You will work with protocol support and system MRSO support daily in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

This full-time days position involves Sat-Mon shifts and a rotating call schedule. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Experience: 0–2 years of modality-specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience preferred.
• Registration/Certification: ARRT (R) and ARMRIT with 1-year onboarding if not already registered; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations across age groups.
• Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Utilize MRI resources, protocols, and technology for timely imaging services.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients for MRI procedures.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and MRI protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to needs during examinations.
• Maintain accurate patient records per department and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to deliver patient care.
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and QC of MRI equipment and work areas.
