Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Per Diem MRI Technologist for weekend night shifts. You will perform MRI procedures under radiologist supervision, manage imaging protocols, and assist with biopsies as needed. Strong attention to patient safety and accurate data entry are essential.

Requirements include NYS RT with Injection and ARRT MRI certification, plus completion of radiologic technology training. This is a per diem position with a focus on night/weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
• NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection.
• ARRT certification in MRI.
• MRI Systems and radiographic film processing.
• Epic tracking software.
• OHS Fit Test/OHS Annual Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into Epic and systems.
• Position patient and obtain scout image for MRI.
• Assist radiologist during procedures and monitor progress.
• Operate MRI equipment and inject contrast when required.
• Photograph and label scan images for radiologist review.
• Maintain records of image slices and injections.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Train associates and students in MRI procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.
