Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, explain procedures to patients, and ensure safety and comfort throughout examinations. You will position patients, select coils, and monitor imaging quality while adhering to ARRT/ACR/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• One year MR working experience.
• ARRT certification required.
• ARRT-MR within 1 year preferred.
• BLS within 90 days required.
• IV certification training available on-site within 90 days.
• NY State licensure required

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images.
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and request removal of metal objects.
• Position patients and coils according to protocol.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during the scan.
• Input patient data and scan parameters into the system.
• Follow ARRT/ACR/OSHA standards and hospital protocols.
• Maintain room readiness and equipment, and document procedures as required.
