Job summary

McFarland Clinic in Ames, IA seeks an MRI Technologist to support our radiology team. You will position patients and perform MRI studies under radiologist supervision, following established protocols and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is service oriented and a team player, with ARRT MRI certification within one year and familiarity with EPIC EMR. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or an associate degree in radiologic technology.
• Current ARRT certification with MRI preferred; must obtain MRI certification within 1 year of hire.
• Current state permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer (if not ARRT MR).
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and perform MRI studies under radiologist guidance according to protocols.
• Adhere to MRI safety policies and standards.
• Adjust technical parameters to ensure image quality as needed.
• Administer contrast media under radiologist guidance.
• Obtain patient history and relevant clinical information for procedures.
