Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform quality MRI imaging per physician orders and deliver excellent patient service. This part-time (0.2) role primarily services our Waconia location, with weekend shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

ARRT or ARMRIT certification (or 1 year MRI experience) is required, with opportunities for site collaboration and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program.
• ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance or ARMRIT Certified, or 1 year MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and produce quality images per physician orders.
• Inform and prepare patients for procedures, including implants screening.
• Maintain patient files and manage internal/external films.
• Prepare, clean and stock the work area with supplies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair.
• Maintain precautions for RF exposure.
• May administer IV contrast as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

MRI Technologist - Twin Cities Orthopedics

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients.

This is a part-time (0.2) position working every other weekend 8:00am-4:30pm primarily out of our Waconia location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

• Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
• Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
• Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
• Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
• Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
• Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
• May include IV contrast administration as needed
• Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
• ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

Benefits & Compensation:

• Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
• A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
• Frequentlylift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequentlypush/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Frequentlystand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
• Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
