Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to perform quality MRI imaging while providing excellent patient service. This role requires a graduate from an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program, certification in magnetic resonance, and at least one year of full-time MRI experience. You will work every other weekend at the Waconia location. The position includes a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package even for part-time employees.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program required.
  • ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance required.
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in an MRI department preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and maintain patient files.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure safety precautions.
  • Prepare, clean and stock the work area with supplies.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain precautions for excessive RF exposure.
  • May administer IV contrast as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician's orders while providing excellent service to patients.

This is a part-time (0.2) position working every other weekend 8:00am-4:30pm primarily out of our Waconia location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions
  • Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians' use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
  • Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
  • Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
  • Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair
  • Maintain necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
  • May include IV contrast administration as needed
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
  • ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
  • A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Working Conditions
  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
  • Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently push/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
