Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and specialized MRI examinations, adapt procedures to achieve diagnostic goals, and prepare patients for scanning under radiologist supervision. You will ensure safety and comfort, and verify image quality for radiologists.

Qualified candidates hold BLS, ARMRIT and ARRT MR registrations within specified timelines, plus radiologic technology education.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification pending within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• ARMRIT certification required within 1 year of hire.
• ARRT MR registration within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination according to department guidelines.
• Evaluates the finished images to ensure quality and proper identification before radiologist review.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety (ear protection, environment) during MRI exams.
• Maintains equipment knowledge for high and low field magnets; performs basic troubleshooting as needed.
• Coordinates patient flow and data entry into HIS; supports efficient exam turnaround.
